I chose the Upcyclea* team to implement the European “C2C Bizz” project, in order to build the first “Cradle to Cradle inspired building” in France. I was very interested in the concepts of circular economy but had not yet applied them to a project.
Upcyclea provided the scientific and technical expertise, thus allowing the concrete implementation of a safe and circular building. And during this project, my vision expanded from resource management at the level of a building to that of the neighbourhood and then the Community.
With myUpcyclea, the building thus becomes a safe and circular “material bank”.
As for the community, it is no longer only a “resource manager”, but also a manager of the material flows that cross it. The communities are able to see the volumes of materials mobilized, processed and optimized.

Prefiguration of a regional strategy for a circular economy
During my first meeting with the team in 2013, I was introduced to a new paradigm where waste does not exist, a paradigm that generates innovation. Upcyclea allowed us to acquire a fundamental systemic vision to develop the circular economy and collaborative relationships in ecosystems.
To adapt to the climate and societal challenges we are currently facing, we need to collectively activate the evolution of consciousness more strongly.
Upcyclea contributes significantly to this evolution and has allowed projects to develop in a much more significant way than we had originally imagined. myUpclea supports more than 20 projects, all very different and 60 jobs have been created.

Accessibility of Google Cloud Platform servers is guaranteed with a monthly uptime percentage of 99.95%. myUpcyclea guarantees the Customer access to the platform with a monthly uptime percentage of 95%
The ecosystems created in your myUpcyclea library will be used to continuously improve the recommendations and propose the most relevant ecosystems through neural learning networks and heuristic rules derived from more than 12 years of expertise in circular economics
myUpcyclea is based on a software developed entirely by Upcyclea teams located in Paris (France) and Talinn (Estonia). We thus benefit from maximum control over the components of the software, while remaining independent from any third party company. Upcyclea specialists perform in-house development, administration, database management and security tasks
We are constantly improving intelligent algorithms capable of exploiting the semi-formal descriptions entered in myUpcyclea, as well as several relevant criteria (economic profitability, carbon impact, etc.), to help myUpcyclea operators in building ecosystems. Our work also consists in combining this intelligence with the knowledge base of transformation processes, resulting from the Cradle to Cradle missions that we have been carrying out since 2007
Upcyclea provides data hosting, maintenance and security for SaaS. Upcyclea ensures the activation of security protocols for authentication, authorizations, and cryptography; as well as standard protections against XSS and SQL code injections into forms. The data is stored on the servers of the Google Cloud Platform company, located in the European Union.
Data is encrypted when it passes through Google Cloud Platform’s internal networks, and when it is stored in database tables, temporary files and backups.
Each SQL Cloud instance includes a network firewall, network access control to database instances with permissions
